Ceramic Blue Butterfly Set This ceramic set of butterflies was shaped and hand-painted in a small ceramic workshop in Guatemala. First artisans dig out natural clay, mix with water, remove impurities and compress into workable clay. Next, potters shape the clay into various forms using their hands. Finally artisans trace intricate patterns and motifs onto the pieces, and paint on colored glazes that become clear, brilliant designs when fired. The designs on the butterflies are the artists’ original inspiration.

This is a very different and colorful decorative item not only with its shape but also with the harmony of colors used. It is sure to draw many compliments.
