Talavera Ceramic Jewelry
Box
This Talavera
Ceramic Jewelry Box was shaped and hand-painted in a small
ceramic workshop in Mexico. First artisans dig out natural clay,
mix with water, remove impurities, and compress into workable
clay. Next, potters shape the clay into various forms using a
potter's wheel, and then add details by hand. Finally, artisans
trace intricate patterns and motifs onto the pieces, and paint
on colored glazes that become clear, brilliant designs when
fired. |

This beautiful sample of Mexican Talavera pottery is sure to draw many
