Flower Garden Oil Lamp
Copper was one of
the first metals because it was lightweight, durable,
rust-resistant, and affordable. This beautiful oil lamp started
out as a flat sheet of copper. Patterns are traced onto the
metal and cut out using various cutting tools. Next the cut
pieces are shaped with hammers, anvils and a collection of
rotary machines. Then the final product is painted and
traditional motifs are engraved by hand in very intricate
details. |

Each workshop has a favorite style and its own designs and patterns.
